Thank you for taking the time and effort to download our first English
DEMO version of the new Calamus. There are a few major changes between
Calamus 1.09N and Calamus S or SL which must be explained in order for you
to obtain full enjoyment from this save-disabled DEMO version of the new
Calamus shell.
I have enclosed 7 modules; Frame, Line, Raster, Page, Text, Text Style and
the Document Converter module which will automatically convert 1.09N
documents upon loading into S/SL documents.
I have enclosed 3 import modules; CVG and CRG so that you can import
pictures and CTX for text as I have not included the PKS Write module so
you will have to either type text directly into the text frame or import
it as a CTX file. NOTE: You cannot create a text frame without first
defining a text style (located in the last sub-menu of the Text Style
module). I have already included one font and had it load in
automatically.
And finally I have enclosed 3 printer drivers.
This is a demo version. It is designed to allow you the opportunity to
preview some of the features of the new Calamus. It is not designed nor
intended for you to do real work. That is done naturally in Calamus
itself. You may print with any one of the three printer drivers enclosed.
However, you will exit the program once you have done so.
I do apologize in that I managed to double-up the Raster Module
help file with that of the Line Module so that the help messages in the
Raster module are a duplicate of those found in the Line Module. I will
correct this as soon as possible. However, regardless, the features
will be familiar to you if you have any previous experience with Calamus.
This is a fairly clean and solid DEMO, almost entirely in English. I have
decided to upload it now as I have received numerous requests to do so,
all prepared to accept it under any circumstances. :-) In the near future
I will re-upload it again, this time all in English, with the correct help
files in place.
If you have any questions, please ask in our ISD support area.
